Pecan Twist

1: Cream butter and powdered sugar together, then add the egg white, honey, and cardamom. Mix until well incorporated and resembles pancake batter.

2: Preheat your oven to 350°F.

3: Dissolve the yeast in the warm water, then add the sugar, melted butter, salt, and cooled milk.

4: Add the egg and gradually mix in the flour to form a stiff dough, kneading until smooth (about 5 minutes).

5: Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Allow it to rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 1 hour).

6: Prepare the pecan topping as mentioned above.

7: Grease a 10.5-inch skillet with butter.

8: Once the dough has risen, cut it into two halves and roll each into long ropes.

9: Roll the first strip of dough into a tight spiral and place it in the center of the skillet. Twist the second strip around it to form one large twist.

10: Pour the topping and pecans over the dough, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes until it fills most of the skillet.

11: Bake on the middle rack for 30-45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
