A delicious drunken mushroom burger featuring mushrooms cooked with butter, shallots, thyme, and marsala wine, layered on a sesame burger bun with garlic mayo, a juicy beef patty, and melted white cheddar. Perfect for the fall season.
Step 1: Combine mayo, garlic, soy sauce, and dijon in a bowl, stir to combine and set aside.
Step 2: Heat butter in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Once it bubbles, add shallots and cook until slightly golden brown.
Step 3: Add thyme, mushrooms, and a teaspoon of salt. Cook until the mushrooms have released their liquid, then add marsala wine and cook until evaporated.
Step 4: Form and season patties with salt and pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet and cook patties to desired temperature, flipping halfway.
Step 5: Add white cheddar cheese to patties and allow to melt. Rest the patties while toasting buns in the same pan.
Step 6: Assemble the burger with garlic mayo, mushrooms, cooked burger, and Bubbies bread and butter pickle chips. Serve with fries and enjoy!
