Double Decker Burnt Onion Smash Slider

Step 1: Weigh out ground chuck into 1.2oz loosely packed balls and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Heat a 10.5” cast iron skillet over medium high heat with some butter and toast the slider buns inside facing down.

Step 3: In a larger 12” skillet, heat over high heat and add sliced onions, then place the meat balls on top of the onions and smash with a heavy weight.

Step 4: Cook until the bottom side is crispy, then flip and top with a quarter slice of cheese. Cover the pan with a lid to melt the cheese.

Step 5: Spread a small dollop of mayo on both sides of the toasted buns, then stack two smash burger patties on top of each other, adding a pickle chip on the top bun. Enjoy!
