A delicious slump made by combining nectarines and blackberries with sugar and water, topped with biscuits and baked. The syrup from the fruit is absorbed by the puffy biscuits, making every bite fantastic.
In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, allspice, and nutmeg. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Pour the mixture over the fruit and add lemon juice and cornstarch; set aside.
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, then cut in the unsalted butter.
Using your fingers, massage the butter into the flour mixture, then add heavy cream and stir to create a shaggy dough.
Butter a cast iron skillet, then add the fruit mixture and arrange the biscuits on top.
Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of the biscuits.
Bake at 375°F for 40-50 minutes until the fruit is thick and bubbling and the biscuits are golden brown.
Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.
