Delicious apple pie made with a flaky pie crust and a sweet apple filling. The crust is prepared with butter, vodka, flour, sugar, and salt, while the filling features fresh apples, cider, brown sugar, nutmeg, and cornstarch. This pie is perfect for fall and made to serve warm.

Instructions

1: In a food processor, add butter, sugar, salt and flour. Process until almost smooth.

2: Add the vodka and slowly add the water just so the dough sticks together and forms a ball.

3: Do not over process or it will get tough. Pat into 2 balls and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4: In a large saucepan, mix apples, all but 2 tablespoons of cider, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

5: Bring to a boil and stir until apples are coated and begin to soften.

6: Mix cornstarch with the remaining 2 tablespoons of cider and then add to the apples.

7: Stir and boil until thickened. Let cool.

8: Roll out pie crust, add cool apples and bake at 425°F for 55 minutes.
